Our Founder

Troy has spent more than two decades investing in Washington, DC area residential real estate, treating each property as a strategic asset focused on value creation, protection, and long term performance.

His career spans leadership and senior advisory roles in the U.S. Congress, service as a presidential appointee, and strategic positions at Amazon and Instacart. Across these environments, senior government officials and corporate executives have consistently relied on his judgment for decisions where discretion, accuracy, and outcomes matter.

He applies that same standard of stewardship to real estate, evaluating properties with a disciplined focus on condition, operational readiness, and long term value preservation.

Troy founded Autograph Residential to bring this level of rigor to property ownership. He built the firm to provide homeowners and rental property owners with peace of mind, ensuring their most valuable assets are expertly managed and protected.

For advisory sessions, no intake call is required. You book directly, and we begin from there. For home and property management, we start with a conversation to understand the property, your goals, and how you want things handled. From there we define scope, access, and communication preferences before anything begins.
Is this the right fit for my situation?

This service is built for homeowners who are not on site full time — frequent travelers, split-residence households, absentee owners, seniors aging in place, and adult children coordinating a parent's home from another city.

What does working together actually look like?
That depends on the service. Advisory sessions are focused one-hour conversations that end with a clear point of view and a defined next step. Property management is an ongoing relationship built around regular visits, vendor oversight, and clear reporting. Project-based work like vendor sourcing and on-site coordination is scoped and priced per engagement.
Where do you work?
The Washington DC metro area, including Northern Virginia and parts of Maryland.
What kinds of properties do you manage?
Primary residences, second homes, and properties in transition — including homes occupied part time, being prepared for rental or sale, or under ongoing oversight while the owner is away.
How are contractors and repairs handled?
We identify qualified, licensed, and insured professionals, coordinate scheduling, and confirm the work is completed as agreed. You set the approval threshold for spending and stay informed throughout.
How will I know what is happening at my property?
You receive written updates after every visit or completed engagement. Reports cover property condition, actions taken, and any recommendations, on a cadence aligned to your service level.
